This series explores the hidden music and movement of trees. In many of the images, the trees appear to be dancing or singing. There are currently 10 images in this series, many are named based on forms of music or dance. There might potentially be a couple of more images by the time of the show.
These photos were all shot by a small point-and-shoot camera, and are not digitally manipulated (they are not "Photoshopped" image constructions.)
Because the series is evocative, metaphorical, and related to sound and rhythm, I was wondering if the poetry group at FBCA might be interested in writing some poems related to one or more of these images, and if I feel like they fit, have 1 to 3 poems (or more) displayed at the show. It could be one poem for each photograph (like the artist statement for that photograph), if I feel like it fits.
There could be a poetry reading (possibly with music) at the opening.
All photographs are ready to hang. They are printed on archival fine art paper, in 1.25 inch black frame with 2.5 inch white 8-ply matte. Most are 27" x 25" framed, two are a few inches bigger.
